Taylor Smith receives LWC scholarship "Taylor comes from one of the state's best high school cheerleading programs, and I know she will be a great addition to our squad."-EVE FREDERICK By Duane Bonifer, LWC Public Affairs Director The cheering won't stop for Taylor Smith when she goes to college in the fall. Smith, a 2008 Adair County High School graduate, has received a cheerleading scholarship from Lindsey Wilson College. Smith plans to major in education. "We're excited that Taylor will be a Blue Raider cheerleader," said Lindsey Wilson cheerleading coach Eve Frederick. "Taylor comes from one of the state's best high school cheerleading programs, and I know she will be a great addition to our squad." The daughter of Joe and Jill Smith, Smith received numerous honors while at Adair County High School. She was secretary of her school's chapter of the National Honor Society, treasurer of the senior class and captain of the 2007-08 Adair County cheerleading squad. Smith graduated in the top 20 percent of her senior class and was named to the honor roll all four years in high school. Her cheerleading accomplishments while in high school include individual winner at the 2008 CANAM Regional, individual fist runner-up at CANAM Nationals, and 2008 third runner-up at CANAM Nationals for the team award.
