Obituary: Fred E. McIntyre, 85, Adair native

Mr. McIntyre's funeral and burial will be in Anderson, IN

Fred E. McIntyre, 85, of Anderson, IN, died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at the Meadowbooke Rehab Center & Suites in Anderson.

A native of Adair County, KY, he was a son of the late Bell & Cordie Smith McIntyre, and was also preceded in death by three brothers, George and Roy McIntyre, Richard Smith, and by two cousins and a great-grandson, little John Snyder.



He is survived by his wife, Wilma Walker McIntyre, Anderson, IN, and the following:
  • Three daughters and sons in law: Carol and Jim Kinley, Anderson, IN; Jeanita and Billy Janes, Chesterfield, IN; and Beverly and Greg Locke, Pendleton, IN

  • Two brothers: Marvin McIntyre of Floriday and Kelse McIntyre of Anderson, IN

  • Five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a cousin, and several nieces and nephews
The funeral service was Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at 11:30am at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home South Chapel in Anderson, IN, with Pastor Jeff Floyd officiating.

Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson, IN.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00am.
