Timmy Royse (almost) wins Ford Mustang in ACHS Scramble ColumbiaMagazine.com SPORTS Team of Jim Owens, Marvin Calhoun, Bryan Robertson, and Ryan win tournament Three photos accompany this article By ACHS Coaches Robby Shelton and Kim Goodin A Hole in Won prize (Ford Mustang or $10,000 cash) was close to being given away this year at the ACHS Golf Team Scramble, with Timmy Royse landing a ball within inches, at the ACHS Golf Team Scramble Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Pinewood Country Club. Other wins are as follows: The longest drive on hole 18 was won by Chad Hatcher. Closest to the pin prizes went to Ryan Stephens, Daniel Antle, Jack Stephens, and Marvin Calhoun. Each golfer in the tournament had an opportunity to leave with a door prize for participating if they stayed for the drawings. The first place team was Jim Owens, Marvin Calhoun, Bryan Robertson, and Ryan Stephens. They finished with a 55 which is 17 under par for the round. There was a tie for second place with a 56#which resulted in a scorecard playoff. Second place went to Larry Keltner, Drew Burwash, Daniel Smith and Daryl Branham.(pic 082) Third place was taken by Corey Rogers, Margie Collins, Dave Powell, and Luke Stephens. The ACHS Golf Team Scramble was considered a success even though the temperature soared into the 90's. There was a total of 60 participants this year. Several community members and friends of the golf team dropped by and made monetary donations even though they couldn't stay to participate. We feel very fortunate to have the support that we do for our golfers. We would list them all but wouldn't want to accidently leave#someone out. The boys' and girls' golf team would like to thank all those individuals that participated in the the fund raiser and invite you back next year. They would also like to thank the individuals and businesses#that made donations and /or contributed door prizes. Special thanks to all parents, grandparents, and other friends and family that We couldn't do it without you! Thanks, Coach Robby Shelton and Coach Kim Goodin SEE COMPLETE 2008 PINEWOOD COUNTRY CLUB SCHEDULE This story was posted on 2008-06-08 15:07:19
