Obituary: Herbert Lacy, 92, veteran World War II COLUMBIAMAGAZINE.COM OBITUARIES Mr. Lacy was a member of the Sparksville Church of the Nazarene, a member of a highly respected south Adair County family. He was a farmer and a former administrator of the Cumberland County Hosptal Herbert Lacy, 92, Columbia, KY, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at 11:35amCT at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY. The funeral service is Monday, June 2, 2008, at 1:00pmCT, at Sparksville Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Lonny Karnes officiating. He was the son of the late George Henry and Meldora Williams Lacy, a US Army Veteran of World War II, was the first Administrator of the Cumberland County Hospital, was a former inspector for both hospitals and nursing homes for the State Health Department. He was a retired farmer and attended the Sparksville Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Sue Page Lacy, Columbia, KY, and the following:
Visitation will be after 3:00pmCT, Sunday, June 1, 2008, and 7:00amCT, Monday, June 2, 2008, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, and after 12noonCT, Monday, at the Sparksville Church of the Nazarene. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
