Obituary: Terry Bennett, 54

Mr. Bennett was a member of a large, respected Southwest Adair County family, an independent truck driver, and a furniture maker

Terry Bennett, 54, 215 Downey Lake Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at 1:30pm at his home after several weeks illness.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Hassell Williamson officiating.



He was born May 2, 1994, the son of the late Henry David and Allene May Taylor Bennett of Adair County County, KY.

He is survived by his wife, Jenifer Beard Bennett of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Terani Booher, Russell Springs, KY

  • One son: Jordan Isaac Bennett, Columbia, KY

  • One step son: Jason Thrasher, Columbia, KY

  • Three brothers: Rex Bennett, Stevie Bennett, and Stacie Bennett, all of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters Joyce Tungate of Campbellsville, KY; and Betty Conn, Columbia, KY

  • His step mother: Christine Bennett, Glasgow, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends
Terry was a self-employed truck driver and furniture maker. He attended the Church of Christ of Adair County.

The family requests visiting after 4:00pmCT on Friday, May 30, 2008, at the funeral home.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
