Obituary: Opal Wesley, 94, member Columbia Christian Church COLUMBIAMAGAZINE.COM OBITUARIES Mrs. Wesley was a member of a prominent, highly respected Glens Fork family and had been a grocery merchant in the community for many years. Opal Wesley, 94, a resident of Summit Manor & Rehab, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at 4:55pmCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY. The funeral service will be Friday, May 31, 2008, at 1:00pm CT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY with Bro. Raymond Martin the officiating clergy. She was born September 3, 1913, the daughter of the late Mont and Mary Collins Grant and the widow of Edwin Hugh Wesley, who preceded her in death on June 8, 1991. She is survived by the following:
She was a member of the Columbia Christian Church and was a grocery merchant in Glens Fork for many years. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pm, Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY. Pallbearers are Earl Bradshaw, Danny Wesley, Timmy Wesley, Larney Wesley, Jr., and Raymond Grant, and Michael Watson. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
