Obituary: Lela Bernice Willis, 93, dies in Illinois

She was born in Adair County, a member of a respected family here. Mrs. Willis leaves a large family, with 33 living descendants. She will be buried in Eureka, IL
Lela Bernice Willis, 93, Eureka, IL, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at 11:06amCT, at her residence.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 3:00pm, at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka, IL, with burial in Olio Township Cemetery.



A native of Adair County, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Annie Robertson Feese.

She was a member of Eureka Christian Church. She had worked at the Libby's canning factory and was suupervisor at MH Workshop for more than 15 years.She is survived by her husband, Clarence Willis, Eureka, IL, and the following:
  • One daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Bill Kelso, Kerrville, TX

  • One son and daughter-in-law: Ron and Shauna Willis, O'Fallon, MO

  • And 10 grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Deloris Fay Willis and Virginia Sue Wilhelm.

Visitation will be after 2:00pm, Saturday, May 17, 2008.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Central Illinois, Chapter, 606 W. Glen, Peoria, IL 61614.
