Junior Beta Club visits Diane Sawyer, GMA, in NYC

By Teresa Richard

The Junior Beta Club of Adair County Middle School is in the "Big Apple," since Saturday, May 10, 2008.

They visited the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, a Broadway play, and were even in the studio of Good Morning America Monday Morning, May 12, 2008. They met fellow Kentuckian Diane Sawyer, and Jimmy Kimmel, Mario Lopez, Lance Armstrong, Chris Cuomo, and Robin Robets.

GMA's tight programming limited their air time, but it was an exciting once in a lifetime event for these kids. Everyone on the trip is having a blast, even the adults.

Beta is sponsored by Denise Grant and Jamie McQueary.
