Gas Price Drumbeat: What are officials doing? LETTERS & FEEDBACK To ColumbiaMagazine.com What are our Columbia officals doing about our gas prices? Last Thursday I was in Edmonton, KY to pick up my brother as I often do, and noticed that gas prices in Edmonton were 3.59 while Columbia's prices were at 3.75. Granted I know that 3.59 is still not cheap since the prices of crude oil has driven our gas prices to an almost unaffordable rate for the average salaried household, but at the same time, if Edmonton can to be cheaper and still being smaller than Columbia, don't you think Columbia could be? Maybe we need to rethink where we are purchasing our gas! Also, the East 80 bridge, don't you think that 8 months is long enough to complete this project? What are our local officals finding out, if anything, about this project? Thanks so much, Linda & Ed, for all that you do!s/Debbie Murray This story was posted on 2008-05-12 15:15:58
