Obituary: E.B. Cooper, 70, Cave City


Mr. Cooper was a former resident of Columbia and Campbellsville and is warmly remembered here. He owned Burton and Cooper Home Sales in Columbia and worked at Clayton Mobile Homes in Campbellsville.

E. B. Cooper, 70, Cave City, died Friday, May 9th, 2008 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow.The Barren County native was the son of the late Conard and Cynthia Johnson Cooper.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pmCT, Monday, May 12, 2008, at the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in the Cave City Cemetery.

He was a retired salesman and member of Cedar Hill Methodist Church.Survivors include his wife, Judy Thrasher Cooper, Cave City, KY, and the following:
  • A son: Jeff Cooper, Cave City, KY

  • Three daughters: Mary K Thompson, Junction City, KS; Diane Burke, Japan; Jessica Cooper, Cave City, KY

  • Two brothers: Phillip Cooper, Louisville, KY: Royce Cooper, Munfordville, KY

  • Two sisters: Zell Hunt and Bobbie Atwell, both of Cave City; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Merle and Oryce Cooper.Visitation at the funeral home will be from 12 noon to 8:00pmCT on Sunday, May 11, 2008, and after 9:00amCT, Monday, May 12, 2008, until time of services.
