Expatriate reports in from between Omaha & Atlanta

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

I get "home" to Columbia two or three times per year: pretty much all of my Dad's family is still there. My aunt, Sue Bailey, posts on your site sometimes, too.

As I write this, I'm aboard a plane headed home to Atlanta, GA, from Omaha, Nebraska. I work for a federal agency called GAO (Government Accountability Office) so I travel around trying to find out what you're getting for your tax dollar. It's an interesting job that has taken me to the far corners of the earth and into the inner offices of the Capitol and secret rooms in the Pentagon!

I was good friends with Sharon Waggener in school so please give her my regards.

I enjoy your site. Take care...and please keep up the great work, if only for Adair County expatriates like me!

s/John Pendleton

Thanks for taking time from your busy schedule to let the folks back home keep up with your fascinating career. We'll give our regards to Sharon Waggener, who is now a CPA, at our next Christmas in July family reunion. Hope you'll continue to send news and we invite other Adair Countians around the world to do the same. -Ed
