Gas Price Drumbeat: Says he may be nuts, but he ain't crazy Comment about: "Another view on the price of gas" Too ColumbiaMagazine.com:When I need to buy something and it is available from a local business, here is where I shop and and here is where I buy, but not gas -- not any more -- not with the obvious game that's being played at all the pumps here in town. I drive enough to be able to buy gas away from Columbia almost all of the time and that's what I do. It really is that simple. Twice earlier this week I bought gas between here and Campbellsville for $3.49. At the same time I noted gas in Campbellsville was $3.56 and here it was $3.70-something. If someone saw me fill up my car, pay for the gas and then tear up and throw away a five dollar bill they would think I was crazy. That's what buying gas here amounts to, and while I may be nuts, I ain't crazy.s/JH Name and contact information on file This story was posted on 2008-05-09 19:48:51
