Barren Co. star Lee Hubbard will be Raider this fall ColumbiaMagazine.com Sports Hubbard is fourth LWC signee this year. Stars already signed with LWC men's basketball at Kalen Kimberland, Ryan Young, and Paki Brown By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director GLASGOW, KY: The Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team has signed Lee Hubbard to a NAIA scholarship, the school announced on Friday. Hubbard, a 6-foot-1 guard, averaged 24.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game last season as he helped lead Barren County High to a 26-7 record and a 15th District championship. The 26-win season is a Barren County High School record. The Glasgow, KY, native, earned 15th District Player of the Year and 4th Region Player of the Year honors. He was also named the Citizen's Bank Holiday Classic most valuable player. "Lee is one of the top players in the state and it will be an honor to be his coach," Lindsey Wilson men's basketball coach Paul Peck said. "He has been taught by one of the best coaches in the state in Steve Riley, an alumnus of Lindsey Wilson College. He is a tireless worker that will get better everyday and has played in a system that is very similar to what we run here," Peck said. "We're excited to have Lee and expect big things from him." Hubbard finished his senior season as the fourth leading scorer in the state and 14th best rebounder. "I hope to accomplish big things at Lindsey Wilson, both on the court and in the classroom," Hubbard said. "Lindsey Wilson has a great basketball program and I hope to be an asset and help consistently compete for the national title each year." Hubbard is the fourth signee for the Blue Raiders this spring. He joins Adair County native Kalen Kimberland, Lincoln Countys Ryan Young and Kenosha, WI, native Paki Brown.
