Hamburger and Hot Dog Cookout at Purdy Separate Baptist Church
Purdy Separate Baptist Church Relay For Life team is sponsoring a Gospel Singing, by "Driven" of Russell County, a hamburger and hot dog with side items Cookout and a Silent Auction with lots of items on Saturday, May 10, 2008 beginning at 5:00pmCT. Purdy Church is located approximately seven miles from town on Highway 206.



Intrepid USA Home Health selling soft drinks
Intrepid USA Home Health Relay For Life Team is offering 20 oz. Coca Cola products at a cost of $20.00 per case. Intrepid USA Home Health sponsoring bake sale
Intrepid USA Home Health Relay For Life Team will be sponsoring a bake sale at Wal-Mart of Columbia on Jamestown Street on Saturday, May 10, 2008 beginning at 7:30amCT until sold out. Baked goods include cakes, cupcakes, Oatmeal Squares and more. The team suggests the baked goods would make good Mother's Day gifts.

Team SWAT is hoasting Pig Roast, Corn Toss, Easton Bryant entertainment
Team SWAT (Sarah's Whipping Astrocytoma Team) Relay For Life Team is hosting a Pig Roast and Corn Toss Tournament at the home of Bradley and Sandra Irvin located at 710 Jr. Burton Road, right off Hancock Road which is approximately five miles from town on Highway 206 (just look for the Team SWAT signs) on Saturday, June 7, 2008. The Corn Toss Tournament has an entry fee of $20.00 per team and requires two players per team. The winners will receive a new set of boards and one-half of the entry fees. Players must be there by 2:30pmCT with games beginning at 3:00pmCTThe Pig Roast, beginning at 5:3pmCT, is all you can eat with donations kindly welcomed. Special music will be provided by local talent, Easton Bryant. Team SWAT says this will be a fun filled afternoon and evening.
