LWC men's tennis in NAIA National Championships in Mobile, AL ColumbiaMagazine.com Sports By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director The Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team is the No. 7 seed in the NAIA National Championships beginning next week in Mobile, AL. The Blue Raiders (14-5) earn one of the eight byes in the 24-team tournament played May 12-16 at the Mobile Tennis Center. Lindsey Wilson faces the winner of Malone (Ohio) College and Savannah College of Arts & Design at 1:00pmCT on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. The Blue Raiders are in the same quarter of the bracket as No. 2 seed Embry-Riddle (FL) University (17-2). Two-time defending champion Auburn University Montgomery (AL) is the tournament's top seed. The Senators (22-1) have won seven NAIA national titles in the program's history. Lindsey Wilson enters the tournament winners of nine in a row, including the program's first-ever NAIA Region XI title. The Blue Raiders are 3-2 this season against the tournament field. Lindsey Wilson lost to AUM and Union (KY) College while beating Berry (GA) College, Bethel (TN) College and Shorter (GA) College.
