Patient running out of time to pay Westlake an 8 debt HEALTHCARE Letter warns him he'll be will be referred to a collection agency if he is not heard from in 7 working days from May 1, 2008. But he plans to negotiate this morning, hopefully settle matter The husband of a Westlake Primary Care patient is going to the facility's Patients Accounts Department this morning to try to settle an eight cent account to avoid being turned over to a collection agency. He wants to protect his good credit rating. The patient received the following letter Thursday, May 1, 2008: Dear Patient:The patient's husband, who chose not to be identified on the internet, has practically worn the letter out showing it around town. "We're having hard times," he said, as the reason for his failure to pay the 8 cent debt. He gave the same reason, hard times, for complaining about being billed for $2.00 pitchers of water he claims he did not order while at patient at Westlake Regional Hospital.
