Obituary: Jimmy Beard, 84, Baptist Mr. Beard was a retired construction worker, and a member of Local 576 Laborers International Union, AFL-CIO. Jimmy Beard, 84, a resident of Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, KY, formerly of Columbia and Louisville, KY, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008, at 3:15pmCT, at Cumberland County Hospital Emergency Room in Burkesville, KY. The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 10:00amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Louisville Memorial Gardens West, Louisville, KY. He was born July 27, 1923, the son of the late Willie Frances "Bill" and Hillie Matt Littrell Beard and was preceded in death by his wife Mary Sharp Beard. He is survived by the following:
