Adair Garden Club visits Garden Spot Greenhouse Members learn professional nursery seeding, transplanting techniques With photos By Barbara Armitage The Adair County Garden Club celebrated this fine spring day, April 10, 2008, by visiting the Garden Spot Greenhouse near Roley, KY. Members learned how to start plants from seed and then to transplant the young seedlings at the proper time. Barbara Beachy, owner of Garden Spot Greenhouse, patiently tutored some of the new gardeners in this delicate operation. Barbara Beachy is a long time expert in growing annuals and vegetable starts and many of us know her for growing the sweetest strawberries I have ever tasted. Garden Spot Greenhouse is located off Highway 70 one mile south on Highway 1742. We all came home with visions of beautiful gardens the scent of blooms still in our minds. If you would like to join us and plant a few blossoms yourself, call Barbara Armitage at (270) 250-2979. The Adair County Garden Club meets on the 4th Thursday of each month in various locations.
