Obituary: Glenn David Keltner, 56

Mr. Keltner was a member of a large, respected Adair County family. He was a member of the Columbia Seventh Day Adventist Church, an owner-operator truck driver, and a US Air Force veteran who will be accorded military honors by Columbia VFW Post 6097

Glenn David Keltner, 56, 3797 Weed-Sparksville Road, Columbia, KY, passed away suddenly, Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 10:47amCT at TJ Samson Community Hospital Emergency Room in Glasgow, KY.

The funeral service will be Monday, April 7, 2008, at 2:00pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY, with Pastor Mike Foraker, Bishop Leon Jones, and Pastor Dewayne Toppenburg officiating.



He was the son of the late Lloyd George Keltner of Adair County, KY, and is survived by his mother, Glenna Schultz Keltner, Columbia, KY; his wife, Joan Williams Keltner, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Thad Keltner and Ethan Keltner, both of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Sarah Keltner, Columbia, KY

  • And their mother: Carole Rowe Thomas, Columbia, KY

  • One step son: Mark Parks, Summer Shade, KY

  • One step daughter: Melissa Barbour, Glasgow, KY

  • Four brothers: Kenneth Keltner, Carmel, IN; Bobby Keltner, Columbia, KY; and Keith Dee Keltner, Questa, NM

  • Three sisters: Rosemary Collins, Bardstown, KY; Penny Rael, Questa, NM; and Nancy Mirkhani, Redwood City, CA

  • Two step grandchildren: Alexis Barbour and Hannah Barbour

  • And several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends survive
One brother, Jimmy Keltner, Bowling Green, KY, survived Glenn David Keltner by one day; Jimmy Keltner died Friday April 4, 2008.

He was preceded by two sisters, Patricia Ann Keltner, who died in infancy; and Shelia Jeanette "Jan" Keltner, in 2006. A brother

David Keltner was a member of the Columbia Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was an owner-operator truck driver and served in the US Air Force from 1971-1974.

Interment will be in the Keltner-Parnell Cemetery at Keltner, KY, with military honors by the Columbia VFW Post 6097.

The family requests visiting after 2:30pmCT on Sunday, April 6, 2008, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.
