Cpl. Kris Knight is back in Iraq To ColumbiaMagazine.com: As many of you already know, my son Kris is back in Iraq. Several of you have asked for updates, so I will try to send them out as I can. He is scheduled to be based at Camp Baharia, which is 2 miles southeast of Fallujah and is the closest military base to Fallujah. If you would like to send a letter, card or package to Kris, here is his address: Cpl. Knight, KristopherAll of the men and women really look forward to hearing from folks from home. I think mail call is one of the highlights of their day! To those who want to send packages again, the guidelines & restrictions are the same as last year. If you have questions about what you can and cannot send, I'll be glad to tell you what I know. There is also a service called Moto mail that prints off letters that you type through their website. They are usually able to get them to the military person within 24 to 48 hours of your submitting it.I used this often last year. It was the fastest way to get information to Kris and the only way other than snail mail that I could initiate communication with him. It's a free service and it is really easy to set up an account with them. All you need is your name, address and email address and the mailing address of the person to whom you are writing. Kris was able to call when he reached Kuwait, and one of the first things that he asked me was whether or not I had set up my Moto mail account! Here is the website: www.motomail.us Please continue to keep Kris and all of our brave men and women in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks, s/Melissa Taylor PHOTO, Kris Knight, stateside before last deployment This story was posted on 2008-03-27 13:13:30
