Sgt. Roger Rucker re-enlists in KY ARNG

Sgt. Roger Rucker of Columbia, KY was sworn in for duty in the Kentucky National Guard by retired Major Jim Flowers, Columbia, KY, on March 17, 2008.

Sgt. Rucker re-enlisted after being out of the Army for 20 years. He had six years prior service in his previous enlistment.

The ceremony took place at Harvey-Ellis Motors, Columbia, in front of the Nextel Cup Race Series National Guard car driven by Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Witnessing the ceremony were Tiffany Grant, Sgt. Rucker's step-daughter; his son, James Rucker; wife, Lisa Rucker, and Reccruiter Brandon Grant, Glens Fork, KY.

AFTER BEING OUT OF THE ARMY FOR 20 YEARS, Sgt. Roger Rucker, Columbia, KY re-enlisted in the Kentucky Army National Guard and was sworn in by retured Army Major Jim Flowers in a ceremony at Harvey-Ellis Motors on March 17, 2008. Also in the photo above are Tiffany Grant, James Rucker, Lisa Rucker, and Recruiter Brandon Grant.
