"Spring Cleanup is a great way to prepare our beautiful region for the busy tourist season," said Karen Engle, PRIDE President and Chief Executive Officer. "I would like to encourage all citizens to take personal responsibility and volunteer for the 2008 PRIDE Spring Cleanup in your community."

"Citizens play a vital role in the PRIDE campaign," Engle continued. "Over the past 11 years, 239,095 PRIDE volunteers have volunteered to clean the waterways and roadways of southern and eastern Kentucky, collecting a total of 508,671 bags of trash."

To volunteer in your community contact the Adair County PRIDE Coordinator, Lisa Lee, in the office of Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton.
