  • Road Eighty Bridge: Great progress day 173

2008-03-22 - KY 80 at Russell Creek, east side of Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
THERE'S GREAT PROGRESS being made on the Road Eighty Bridge. Steel beams are being placed, and workmen for Jones-Bourland Construction are saying that with good weather, the bridge is closer to completion. The beams are the type which oxidize to the rust color they now have and rust no further, eliminating the need for costly future painting. The completion of the span can come none to soon for residents on the east side of Adair County or for businesses along the way, including Ed's Small Engines, Janes Equipment, on the east side of Russell Creek, or Central Window and Door, and Columbia Bros. Distributing Co. on the west, toward Columbia.
