Firemen answer grass fire, find homeowner in cardiac arrest Firemen were on call to grass fire. Response to kitchen fire turns out to be malfunctioning stove By Donald Hare, ACFD Public Affairs Officer The Adair County Fire Department responded on Monday afternoon, March 17, 2008, around 2:00pmCT to a grass fire at 451 West Sulphur Creek Road in the Sano Community of Adair County, KY. Upon arrival personnel found the homeowner in cardiac arrest and performed CPR until Adair County EMS personel arrived on scene, and successfully revived the patient. There were 9 firemen responding and were on the scene for around 45 minutes. Malfunctioning stove The Columbia Fire Department responded to a kitchen fire on Wednesday night around 900pmCT at 700 Greensburg Street. Upon arrival there the firemen found there was a malfunctioning stove and was no fire there were 10 firemen on the scene for around 15 minutes. Adair County Fire Dept. dues are payable:Fire dues for the Adair County Fire Department run from July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008 and are now due and payable. Send to PO Box 96, Columbia, KY 42728, or drop off in our drop box on the side of the fire station on Merchant Street in Columbia, or pay to any firemen.
