Adair Education Bd. to honor 3 Nat'l Bd. 2007 Certified teachers Diana Eastham, Denise Grant, and Debra Wimmer, 2007 National Board Certification recipients, will be honored at the Adair County Board of Education at the Thursday, March 20, 2008 meeting at the 7:00pm meeting in the conference room of the Adair County Board of Education building. They were among only 251 teachers in all of Kentucky who received the certification this year.. The state now has a total of over 1300 National Board Certified teachers. Honored at Frankfort, too National Board recipients for 2007 were invited to a reception at the Governor's Mansion and other ceremonies on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. A recognition Ceremony was held in the Capitol Rotunda. Governor Brashear was among the dignitaries who addressed the recipients and guests. Our Education Commissioner John Draud and others spoke. Also attending as guests were Mr. Troy Young, principal of the high school and Ms. Alma Rich, principal of the middle school. Following the ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda, we were recognized on the floor of both chambers of the House and Senate. This story was posted on 2008-03-17 16:23:20
