Obituary: Fannie Elizabeth Tarter

Mrs. Tarter was a member of the House of Prayer and of a large, well-known Columbia family. She leaves 44 living descendants

Fannie Elizabeth Tarter, 72, 301 Tutt Street, Columbia, KY, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at 7:21pmCT, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at 11:00amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Don Taylor officiating.



She was the daughter of the late Haskin and Bertha Richards Taylor and a member of the United House of Prayer.She is survived by her husband, Edwin (Tootie) Tarter, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Five sons: David and his wife Pam, Columbia, KY; Terry and his wife Peggy Tarter, Bowling Green, KY; and Charles and his wife Kathy Tarter, Andy Tarter, and Danny Tarter, all of Columbia, KY

  • Five daughters: Linda and her husband Ronald Ford; Peggy, Dakota, Rosa, and Carolyn Tarter, all of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Earl Taylor, Columbia, KY

  • Fifteen grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren
Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4:00pmCT, Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.
