Jaycees offer $500 community service scholarship ACHS seniors have until March 31, 2008, to enter By Ricky New Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story The Adair County Jaycees will be giving away a$500 scholarship to a ACHS Senior this year. The application/requirements information is below. The deadline to submit application is March 31, 2008. Theinformation can also be picked up from the High School Guidance Councillor. This money will go directly to the student this fall, just before college is scheduled to start and may be use to purchase any item for college or they may apply it toward their tuition. The Adair County Chamber of Jaycees, found on the basis that community service is vital to the health of every community, wishes to honor an Adair County High School senior who has demonstrated a passion and commitment for volunteering his/her valuable time in the service of his/her community with a one time $500 scholarship to a a college/university of his/her choice. The criteria for this scholarship are as follows:
