Cesar Mendoza proves tops in art of chicken-wing eating. Again.

Washington County art major repeats as champion; runner up is Edmontonian Justin Bruce, an undeclared freshman

By Duane Bonifer

Lindsey Wilson College student Cesar Mendoza proved that he still has the mightiest appetite on campus Wednesday afternoon, March 12, 2008.

Mendoza, an art sophomore from Springfield, KY, repeated as the champion in the colleges annual chicken-wing eating contest, held in the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center. Mendoza consumed 13 wings, one more than his first-place finish of 12 in 2007.

Mendoza received $100 for eating the most chicken wings on campus. Right behind Medoza was Justin Bruce, an undeclared freshman from Edmonton, KY.

The contest was part of the Cranmer Dining Centers annual Food Show in which students, faculty, staff and guests vote on new menu items. The competition is co-sponsored by Sysco Food Services and Tyson Chicken of Louisville, KY.
