Tornado drill at 9:07amCT, today By Daniel Wilson, Weather Specialist The Wave, WHVE FM 92.7 radio If the warning sirens in your area went off to signal that a tornado had been spotted, would you know what to do? Well, here is your chance to prepare. At 9:07amCT, today, Tuesday, March 4, 2008, Kentucky Emergency Management, in cooperation with the National Weather Service and Kentucky Weather Preparedness Committee, will conduct its annual tornado drill. This will be only a test, but it's a great chance to practice what you would do in case of a real event. This is a time when you can practice on what to do and where to go in the event a tornado warning is issued. Wilson says that "The Wave" will be participating in this test at 9:07amCT and encourages everyone to participate! You can find out more about severe storm safety by contacting your local Emergency Management agency, visit the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management on the Web at www.kyem.ky.gov or the National Weather Service at www.weather.gov/safety.php.
