Obituary: John R. Clutterbuck, 90, World War II veteran OBITUARIES Mr. Clutterbuck was a member of the Blanklick Christian Church of Indenpendence, KY, a Mason, a retired insurance agent. He had distinguished service in World War II. and will be accorded military honors by Columbia VFW Post 6097. John R. Clutterbuck, 90, a resident of Golden Age Retirement Home in Columbia, KY, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 9:33amCT at Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY. The funeral service will be Monday, March 3, 2008, at 11:00amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Garry Jones and Hack Williamson officiating. He was born June 13, 1917, the son of the late John Robert and Bernadine Eichmann Clutterbuck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merlen Clutterbuck on August 11, 2003. He was a veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge and Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Florida. The funeral service will be Monday, March 3, 2008, at 11:00amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Garry Jones and Hack Williamson officiating.
