Columbian has fond memories of Homer Ledford About: Homer Ledford in story "Three Columbia-area luthiers at Paris show" To ColumbiaMagazine.com I am overly proud to say that I knew and admired Homer Ledford, master luthier known largely for his mountain dulcimers. Homer and my sister Mary were friends until he died and she has one of his dulcimers. I don't think there were many people Homer met who weren't friends. I've enjoyed his music also, but as many of the other luthiers will tell you, the essence of Homer was that he loved to invent new ways to build instruments and he loved to share what he learned as well as the music. To see more about the Traditional Art of Kentucky Luthiers at Click Here There is also a wonderful video that includes Homer. To download and listen, Click Here Homer and his wife Colista appear near the end of the video. The advice in the music is not bad either. s/Doug McCammish McCammish Mfg.
