Obituary: Keith Pyles, 52, Knifley resident

OBITUARIES

Mr. Pyles was a member of a large, highly respected North Adair County family.

Keith Pyles, 52, of 262 Allen Cemetery Lane, Knifley, KY, (the Knifley community) passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008, at 1:30amCT at home, after a long battle with cancer.

The funeral service will be Monday, February 25, 2008, at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Junior Holmes and Bro. Elvis Tucker the officiating clergy.



He was born August 8, 1955, the son of the late Johnnie Pyles of Columbia, KY.

He is survived by his mother, Rosie Sallee Pyles of Columbia, and the following:

  • Six bothers: Travis Pyles and wife Imogene, Knifley, KY; Randall Pyles and wife Odene, Knifley, KY: Billy Pyles, Russell Springs, KY; Tommy Pyles and wife Pat of Bowling Green, KY; Dean Pyles, Russell Springs, KY; And Gleason Pyles and wife Tina of Columbia, KY

  • Four sisters: Shirley Brown and husband Edward, Columbia, KY; Norma Miller and husband Dean, Knifley, KY; Kay Wethington, Horse Cave, KY; Joyce Giles and husband, Charles, Knifley, KY

  • One special niece: Virginia Hatfield

  • Two special nephews: Tony Gabehard and Kenny Brown
  • and by a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends
He was preceded in death by three brothers, J.D. Pyles, Teddy Pyles, Donald Ray Pyles and by one sister, Paulette Gabehart.

Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.
