Country Corner Buffet & Restaurant auction April 12, 2008 A number of readers have asked about what will happen with Country Corner Buffet & Restaurant. Sharon Burton called this morning to say that she and her husband, Bobby Burton, the restaurant's owners, have placed the sale of the property in the hands of Columbia realtor Murrell Burton. "We've set Saturday, April 12, 2008,as the date for the auction," she said. "Murrell and Karen Burton of Burton's Real Estate & Auction Service are getting the advertising ready now," she said. "It will make a great business for somebody, but Bobby & I found out it was too much for us with all that is going on with our taxi business." She said that the business is ready for someone to take over. "We just cleared out all the inventory, cleaned the restaurant," and locked the doors, she said.
