Russell driver, Taylor occupant injured in Lebanon crash POLICE REPORTS Icy US 68 bridge contributes to collision An injury accident four miles west of Lebanon on US 68, which occurred at 8:17pmET, Thursday, February 21, 2008, resulted in injuries for the driver of one car and for an occupant in another. Robert I. Smothers, 49, Campbellsville, was operating a 1992 Honda, travelling east on US 68, when h lost control on an ice covered bridge, and struck a 1999 Chevrolet which had come to a stop due to a ice covered bridge on US 68. The car, in a westbound position, was driven by Kiimberly Fortenberry, 21, Russell Springs, KY. Robert Smothers was not injured. Kimberly Fortenberry was treated and released at Springview Hospital in Lebanon, as was Elizabeth I. Tungate, 39, Campbellsville, KY. All occupants were belted. The accident was investigated by Trooper Rhodes of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
