Obituary: Helen Amelia Cole, 76

OBITUARIES

Mrs. Cole was retired from Bard Parker Medical Equipment in Hancock, NY. She was born in Pennsylvania, and will be returned there for burial following funeral services in Columbia, KY, and Narrowsburg, NY.

Helen Amelia Cole, 76, 9095 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, formerly of Equinunk, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at 4:47pmCT at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY, after an illness.

The Columbia, KY, funeral service will be Thursday, February 21, 2008, at 7:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Junior Holmes officiating. A second funeral will be in Narrowsburg, NY on February 25, 2008, with burial to follow in Pine Mill Cemetery, Pine Mill, PA.



She was born March 14, 1929, the daughter of the late Elwood and Stella Haynes Stalker, Equinunk, PA.

She is survived by herhusband, Donald Cole, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Elwood Cole, Stroudsburg, PA; and Donald Cole, Jr, of Beech Lake, PA

  • Two sisters: Elnora Malone, Scottsdale, AZ; and Dawn Cajeski, Brooking, OR

  • Nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren

  • Special friends: Junior and Dorothy Holmes, Columbia, KY; and Frank Neer and Karola Grover, Columbia, KY
Mrs. Cole attended the Purdy Separate Baptist Church in Columbia, KY, and was a member of the Pine Mill United Methodist Church in Pennsylvania.

She was retired from the Bard Parker Medical Equipment Co., Hancock, New York.

The funeral service will be Thursday, February 21, 2008, at 7:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY, with Bro. Junior Holmes officiating.

Visitation will begin after 4:00pm, Thursday, February 22, 2008, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.

The funeral service in Narrowsburg, NY, will be on Monday, February 25, 2008, at 11:00amET, at Rasmussen Funeral Home.

The visitation in New York will be from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pmET Sunday, at Rasmussen Funeral Home in Narrowsburg, NY.

Burial will be on Monday, February 25, 2008, in Pine Mill Cemetery, Pine Mill, PA.
