Obituary: Darrell Burton, 46, dies a result of accident

Mr. Burton was a member of a large, respected Adair County family. His was living in Glasgow at the time of his death, but his funeral will be home in Adair County. He was employed by Magna Corporation and was an avid hunter and fisherman

Darrell Burton, 46, 1581 Park City-Glasgow Road, Glasgow, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY, passed away suddenly, Thursday, February 14, 2008, at 8:50pm of injuries received in an accident on 1-65 near Bowling Green, KY.

The funeral service will be Sunday, February 17, 2008, at 2:00pm, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Jamie Bryant and Bro. Richard Lehman the officiating clergy.



Mr. Burton was born October 29, 1961, the son of Charles and Peggy Sue Lewis Burton, Columbia, KY, who survive. He is further survived by the following:
  • One son: Christopher Keith Burton, Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Lindsey Nicole Burton, Columbia, KY

  • One grandson: Wesson Keith Burton, Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Alan Dale Burton, Columbia, KY

  • One niece: Sarah Michelle Burton, Columbia, KY

  • One nephew: Jordon Alan Burton, Columbia, KY

  • Special friends:Cynthia Morgan and her children: Tyler & Brooke
  • and by a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Burton was employed at the Magna Corporation in Bowling Green, KY. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
