Columbia Police ask citizen help on pharmacy burglaries The Columbia Police Department is currently investigating a seriesof pharmacy burglaries. Last night, February 6, 2008, at 12:30 police respondedto an alarm at The Medicine Shoppe on Jamestown ST, and found the front doorglass busted out. Entry was gained but nothing taken. On Monday Morning at 4:30am Police responded to an alarm callat Nations Medicine and found a door glass busted out. No items weretaken, according to Columbia Police Chief Mark Harris. The Medicine Shoppe was also broken into on two different daysin January, the 16th and the 18th . Several pills were taken on thesethefts, Chief Harris said. There have also been some pharmacies in surrounding countiesburglarized also. If anyone has any information on these bBurglaries you are urged tocontact the Columbia Police Department at (270) 384-4119. Callers canremain anonymous, Chief Harris said.
