Ceasar paces LWC Mens Basketball to 74-65 win over WVA Tech

Lindsey Wilson senior reserve Marcus Ceasar recorded a career-high and his first double-double of the season to lead the Lindsey Wilson College mens basketball team to a 74-65 win over visiting West Virginia Tech University on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Biggers Sports Center.

Cearsar scored 20 points and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds to help the Blue Raiders improve to 14-8 overall and 2-1 in the Mid-South Conference.



The Oakland, Calif., native, sparked Lindsey Wilsons runs of 14-3 and 10-0 in the first half that enabled the Blue Raiders to take a 46-32 lead into the locker room.

The Blue Raiders extended the lead to as many as 16 in the first before Tech (9-10, 0-3) climbed within eight (67-59) with 1:53 left. That was as close as it would get.

Lindsey Wilson made 4-of-6 free throws down the stretch to secure the74-65 win and win its 10th straight at Biggers.

Lindsey Wilson junior guard George White added 13 points and senior guard Donte Williams chipped in 12 points as four Blue Raiders recorded double figures. Sophomore guard Jeff Vories had 10.

West Virginia Tech junior reserve Victor McGee led the Golden Bears with 14 points. Junior forward Sam Robertson added 12.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 8:00pmCT on Thursday, February 7, 2008, as the Blue Raiders host Pikeville (KY) College at Biggers Sports Center.
