KSP Post 15 issues Activity Report for January 2008 POLICE REPORTS January 2008 saw 3 traffic fatalities, including one Adair Countian. There had been none in January 2007 By Trooper Dwaine Barnett, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY During the month of January 2008, there were 31 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were three fatalities:
Paul D. Darland, Springfield, Kentucky was killed in Washington County on January 9, 2008 Dwight Morgan, Columbia, Kentucky was killed in Green County on January 9, 2008 State wide fatality count stands at 59 compared with 61 through this same period in 2007. During the month of January 2008, there were 1,125 citations written, 261 courtesy notices written, 1,388 vehicles inspected, 844 complaints answered, 90 motorists assisted, 61 criminal cases opened and 279 criminal arrests made.
