Lindsey Wilsons Krystal Jackson named MSC Player of the Week

Lindsey Wilson College senior guard Krystal Jackson has been named Mid-South Conference Womens Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending January 27, 2008, according to the conference.

The MSC award is Jackson's first conference player of the week award this season and the second of her career. Jackson also earned the award during the 2006-07 season.



Jackson scored a game-high 19 points in the Blue Raiders 71-68 upset win over No. 20-ranked University of the Cumberlands (KY) on Saturday in Williamsburg, KY.

The Danville, KY, native, also grabbed five rebounds and handed out three assists in the win.

Jackson is second on the team averaging 10.1 points per game this season. She leads the Mid-South and is sixth in the NAIA with 5.4 assists per game.

Lindsey Wilson is 13-8 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 5:00pmCT on Thursday, January 31, 2008, as the Blue Raiders travel to Campbellsville (KY) University for a MSC doubleheader.
