KSP release more details on Metcalfe homicide POLICE REPORTS Followup to earlier story, Unnamed Metcalfe murder victim Deceased identified as John Auburn Smith, Metcalfe CO, KY; another individual at scene of incident was taken to Jane Todd Crawford in Greensburg; no further identification, details have been released on latter On January 29, 2008, around 7:17pmCT, the Kentucky State Police in Columbia received a report of a shooting at 33 Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Road, Edmonton, KY. EMS units responded to the scene and transported the victim to Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, where he was pronounced dead by the Adair County Coroner Rick Wilson. The deceased has been identified as John Auburn Smith, age 46, of Metcalfe County, KY. Another individual at the scene was transported to Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg for treatment. This case is being investigated by Detective B.J. Burton, Detective Kevin Hunt and Sergeant Bobby Sullivan of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
