Obituary: Thelver McClister Carston age 88

Thelver McClister Carston age 88 years of 9950 Russell Springs Road, Columbia, Ky., a former resident of Tinley Park, Illinois passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 after a short illness.

Funeral services are Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 at 11:00 A. M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQuearyFuneral Home, with visitation after 3:30 P. M. Monday. Clergy Officiating will be Scott Eubank and David McClister. Interment will follow in McClister Cemetery at Fairplay.



She was the daughter of the late F. O. and Susie Blair McClister of Fairplay.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold J. Carston of Tinley Park, ILIn May 1993. also one sister Nelvia Herron & three brothers Eldridge, Norris &Dorval McClister

She is survived by
  • Two sisters: Sue Conover of Columbia, KY, and Lois Erlinder of Palos Park, IL

  • Four nephews: David McClister of Tampa, FL, Glenn McClister of Frankfort, KY, Dr. Larry Erlinder of New Lenox , IL and Bruce Conover of Brandenburg, KY.

  • Three nieces: Janet Freidinger of New Lenox, IL, Debbie Johnson of Jacksonville, FL, and Rhonda Hatcher of Columbia, Ky.
She was a member of Jamestown Church of Christ and retired from Great LakesSprings Corp. of Chicago.
