Adair County repeats as host for Cheer Ltd Regional "It's a day for all Adair Countians to show our hospitality skills to these wonderful visitors." -SUE STIVERS. Ol' Joe Barbee's B&B barbecue will provide concessions By Julie McQueary Adair County High School has been selected for the second year to host a Cheer Ltd. Regional Cheer and Dance competition. The competition is a regional qualifier for the CANAM National Cheerleading competition thats held in Myrtle Beach, SC each March. Many cheerleading squads and dance teams from all over the state will be in Columbia this Saturday, January 26, 2008 competing for a chance to compete at the National level. Competition begins at 10:00amCT. Doors open at 9:00amCT at ACHS gymnasium. Concessions will be sold at competition. BBQ from the great Joe Lynn Barbee will be there! The Cheer Shoppe will have a retail booth for purchasing commemorative competition apparel. Sue Stivers, Executive Director of the Columbia-Adair County Tourism Commission, asks all Adair Countians to be Ambassadors for the Community Saturday. "We thrilled to welcome the Regional Cheer and Dance Competition," she said. "It's a day for all Adair Countians to show our hospitality skills to these wonderful visitors." (ADV).
