Reader sends reminder of CJ story on KY 90 project cut Without comment, a reader from Albany, KY, Steven Lawson, sent a link to the story in the Courier-Journal by Tom Loftus, "Beshear's staff cancels road work Williams sought." The story carries a photo of Senate President David Williams, Burkesville, KY, who formerly represented Adair County and who maintains strong ties here. The cancellation of an $11,000,000 change order, which would have taken a major kink out of KY 90 from Burkesville to Glasgow and would have improved public safety, affects the Adair County economy. Part of the production would have come from Gaddie-Shamrock of Columbia, KY. The Adair County tourism industry is affected as well. Click here to read the Courier Journal story online.
