An invitation to send items for the Community Events Calendar EVENTS: COLUMBIAMAGAZINE'S COMMUNITY CALENDAR Events get coverage in many ways on ColumbiaMagazine.com Just a reminder to send notices of coming events for January and February 2008 and beyond to ColumbiaMagazine.com using one of the over 11,000 Contact/Submit buttons on this site. The Contact/Submit buttons follow each ColumbiaMagazine.com story. The Events calendar is continuously updated on ColumbiaMagazine and through live feeds to the Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce and Giles Society Sites. Reunions, cultural lectures, club happenings, church events, government meetings, many reminders, ribbon cuttings, entertainment, and benefits are just a few of the many occasions on the events calendar. We hope those in charge of public affairs with groups around the area will send notices of coming events as far ahead of as the event is known. ColumbiaMagazine.com usually posts events in four places: 1) In a news story 2) In the Events Calendar 3) Under the appropriate CM Classifieds announcement heading 4) Briefly, on the front page under "Featured Classified, and 5) On the day of the announcement, an alert is posted all day on the front page of ColumbiaMagazine.com, in time-of-day order, in our "Today Feature." Our hope is this will keep the public informed of important Community Events and will also help events planners coordinate schedules. The community calendar is a community participation feature. If mistakes are spotted, we appreciate help from the many volunteer editors and proofreaders who help maintain the accuracy of the site. Submissions should include a name of sender and contact information. This story was posted on 2008-01-20 06:10:35
