Columbia man faces child wanton endangerment, drug charges

POLICE REPORTS: COLUMBIAMAGAZINE.COM

An Adair County man was arrested and lodged last night in the Adair County Regional jail by the Adair County Sheriff's Deputies and a KSP trooper following a call to his home at 7:45pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2008, for a domestic incident.

Adair County Sheriff's Deputies Mike Burton and Richard Redmon arrested Daniel Gadberry, 35, KY 768 East, Columbia, KY, who was charged with with several counts, including:


  • Trafficking in a controlled substance 3rd degree 3 counts
  • Possession of a controlled substance 3 counts
  • Trafficking in marijuana less then 8oz
  • Possession of marijuana less then 8oz
  • Alcohol intoxication in public place
  • Trafficking in non-narcotic drug
  • Prescription drug not in proper container
  • And 2 counts of wanton endangerment, 1 for the two minor children in the house
The officers made the arrest after Mr. Gadberry gave his consent to search his house. "It was clear he was under the influence of some type of drug and/or alcohol," according to Sheriff's Deputy Mike Burton.

Kentucky State Trooper Jamie Richard of KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, also assisted in the incident.
