Viktoria Krell is MSA Women's Basketball Player of Week German-native is averaging 13.2 points since becoming a starter By Chris Wells Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story Lindsey Wilson College freshman center Viktoria Krell has been named Mid-South Conference Womens Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending January 13, 2008, according to the conference. The MSC award is Krells first conference player of the week award this season and the first of her career. Krell scored a career-high 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting to help the Blue Raiders (10-8) upset Brescia (KY) University 86-65 last Thursday. Krell added five rebounds, four steals and two assists as Lindsey Wilson swept the season series against Brescia. The Ludwigsburg, Germany, native, averages 7.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this season. Since becoming a starter on December 19, 2008, Krell is averaging 13.2 points and 9.7 rebounds, helping the Blue Raiders to a 5-1 record.Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 6pmCT on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, as the Blue Raiders host Oakland City (IN) University at Biggers Sports Center.
