Driver injured in Sunday evening crash on rainslick KY 80 W POLICE REPORTS Accident occurs this side of Dick Sneed Road, on Gradyville side of Nell Hill By Ed Waggener ColumbiaStatesman.com special report A Columbia driver survived a wild ride and crash when his small 1994 Nissan pickup truck rounded a curve, ran off the road, hit several tree tops, and flipped several times before coming to a rest on all all four wheels. Clayton Folden, 56, 904 Appen Avenue, Columbia, KY, was taken to Westlake Cumberland Hospital in Columbia, KY, by the Adair County Ambulance service following the wreck, which occurred at around 6:15pmCT last night, Sunday, January 13, 2008. The accident occurred about eight miles out West KY 80, the Edmonton Road. Folden was traveling over the Gradyville side of Nell Hill, toward Columbia. "He left the road just this side of Dick Sneed Road," Deputy Burton said. "He clipped off off some trees there," Burton said. "And he came to a rest in some mud in the flat field at the foot of the big hill, near where the new mobile home is being set up. between 80 and the parkway." The truck sustained damage to every panel of sheet metal, and all of the glass was knocked out of shattered. Rain and slick roads were factors, Deputy Burton, said.
