Obituary: Cester Samuel Walker, 95, Glens Fork, KY

Mrs. Walker was a member of a respected South Adair County family. He was a member of the Glens Fork Christian Church. She had returned to Adair County after retiring from General Motors in Anderson, IN

Cester Samuel Walker, 95, formerly of the Glens fork Community, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2007, at 3:30pm at North Harden Health and Rehab Center in Radcliff, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at 1:00pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Martin the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10amCT before the funeral.



She was born December 26, 1912, the daughter of the late Joseph (Jodie) Millie Walkup Samuel of Adair County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brice Walker, in August 1968.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two nieces: Rebecca Brecht, Radcliff, KY; and Janice Manes, Anderson, IN

  • One step granddaughter: Pat Rediehs, Concord, NC

  • Two step great grandchildren

  • Two brothers: Bert Samuell and Sam Louis Samuel
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Cittie Bennett and Pauline Jones.

Mrs. Walker was retired from General Motors in Anderson, IN, and was a member of the Glens Fork Christian Church.
