Obituary: Zelma Louise Wheeler, 77,
Born Adair Co., KY, dies in Edinburgh, IN

Mrs. Wheeler was a member of a large local family and leaves relatives here to mourn her passing. Her funeral service will be in Edinburgh, IN, where she had lived for many years.

Zelma Louise Wheeler, 77, Edinburgh, IN, died Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 3:41am at the Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, IN.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at 11:00am, at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 905 South Main Street, Edinburgh, IN, with Rev. Guy Hardin and Rev. Nick Whited officiating.



A native of Adair County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Sara Hoover Smith and the widow of Buford Earl Wheeler.

Mrs. Wheeler was a member of the Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. She had retired in 1994 after 25 years of service with Amos Plastics in Edinburgh, where she worked in the molding department.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three sons: Eddie Dale Wheeler, Edinburgh, IN; Donnie Wheeler of Columbus, IN; and Gene Wheeler of Carmel, IN

  • Two brothers: Bob Smith, Columbia, KY; and Jessie Smith, Radcliff, KY
She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Smith; and two sisters, Gladys Estes and Janie Pike.

Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8pm and from 9-11am at the Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 905 South Main Street, Edinburgh, IN.
